Problems faced by the farmers of India
1. Today
Indian Farmers are facing a big challenge from international
competition and our government is going ahead with reduction in public
investment in agriculture sector particularly in irrigation, power,
rural roads, market and mechanization.
2. Subsidy on fertilizers is decreased leading to increase in the cost of production.
3. Reduction in import duties on agricultural products have proved detrimental to agriculture in the country.
4. Farmers are withdrawing their investment from agriculture causing a downfall in the employment in agriculture.
5. Due to the globalization of Indian economy foreign goods have been available in cheaper rates in the market which causes the difficulty in front of Indian farmers to sell their goods even in their own country
